Due to the high content of essential oils in Zephyr's Hoof Health Salve, some horses might be too sensitive for it to be applied to their skin.  Also, please don't apply to an open wound, as it will sting your horse. The best added benefit for the salve is what it does for your hands and nails. As one customer wrote, "The hooves started to finally grow out and suddenly I have stronger nails!" When applied to the coronary band this salve will stimulate hoof growth through the circulation increasing properties of Lavender and Rosemary essential oils.

Apply the salve weekly, or as needed, when used on the coronary band, as a hoof dressing in hot dry areas, as a moisture barrier in wet climates, or as a moisture guard when hosing off your horse. If treating Thrush, White Line or Seedy Toe, use our Thrush & Hoof Fungal Spray on the hoof sole and the Hoof Health Salve on the coronary band.
